Alkaline Chart

What’s the recommended proportion of acidic foods to alkaline? The rule to follow is 70/30 or better. There is no need to go to an extreme. However, this is a very simple way to keep track of a few of the things that you may be eating that you may want to cut back.

See if you are heading down the acidic road or the alkaline by comparing your diet to the chart below. Red means acidic, and green means alkaline. You definitely want to be on the road of health and be eating at least 30% alkaline and No Less!

We have always sprouted seeds. At the bottom of this chart are some sprouting kits for making your own fresh wheatgrass or sprouts which are alkaline to add to your diet. If you do not have a wheatgrass juicer, we are partial to mung beans which can be added to so many dishes or eaten plain. They are easy for anyone to grow.

To your health,
Stephen

Wheat Grass Juicing:

Regular juicers:

We have a Norwalk  juicer, a Champion juicer, and have had many other juicers over the last 49 years. A few years back we purchased a Jack LaLanne juicer which served us well. It was easy to clean and handy for quick juicing.  It finally wore out after much use, so we were in need of another and recently ordered this one. If you are new to juicing, it is a great way to get an introduction to the benefits of juicing.

Here’s to happy juicing!
